How we work

Three coffees at a time, not thirty

We buy one lot at a time, from three importers we have used for years, and we roast it until it runs out. That is why the list is short and why it changes. A shelf of thirty origins means most of them sat in a warehouse for a year, and you can taste that year.

  • Shipping in 48 hours

Free above 80 EUR in mainland Europe, 6 EUR below. Sets ship in one box.

  • 30 days to return it

Unworn, in its packaging, return label included. Refunded within a week of arrival.

  • Payment stays with your bank

Card and bank transfer, 3D Secure. We never see nor store a card number.

Before you order

The four questions that reach us

Ask us something else
When is my coffee roasted?
We roast on Tuesday and ship on Wednesday. An order placed on Wednesday waits for the next Tuesday rather than shipping something roasted nine days ago. Count two to four days in mainland Europe after that, so a Monday order is usually poured on Friday.
Whole bean or ground?
Whole bean unless you ask otherwise. If you pick a grind we set the grinder for that method the morning of the roast. Ground coffee keeps about two weeks against about a month for beans, so we would rather sell you a hand grinder once than grind for you every month.
What if I do not like it?
Tell us what you did not like and we send the other origin, once, at our cost. An opened bag of coffee cannot be resold, so there is no return to organise: keep it, or give it away. We would rather lose a bag than have you finish one you do not enjoy.
Do you ship outside the EU?
Not yet. Coffee crosses borders badly: customs hold it, it arrives at week four, and it is no longer the thing we roasted. When we find a carrier that gets it there in under a week we will say so here.
